LIONS SEEK FANS' ADVICE ON WHETHER TO RENOVATE OR EXPATRIATE

     In an attempt to learn whether fans would prefer renovations
to the Silverdome or the construction of a new downtown Detroit
stadium, the Lions will begin holding focus groups with select
ticket holders, according to CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS.
Meanwhile, David Barkholz writes the team has renewed
negotiations with the City of Pontiac over a new Silverdome
lease.  The Lions, which currently receive none of the $7M
generated annually in stadium revenue, want to keep all such
revenue in exchange for paying off the remaining $30M in debt
service on the facility.  Pontiac has "balked" at the proposal,
saying taxpayers should get $1M annually from the Lions for the
taxes the city has paid over the past 20 years to support the
Silverdome's construction in '74 (CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS,
