SILVERDOME LAND PROVIDES NUMEROUS OPTIONS - - IF LIONS LEAVE

     While both Pontiac, MI, and Silverdome officials reiterate
they do not anticipate losing the Lions to downtown Detroit,
numerous developers are eyeing the facility's "prime" 114-acre
parcel like a "blue light special," according to Judy Rose of the
DETROIT FREE PRESS.  Developers and real estate experts,
questioned under the assumption the Lions leave prior to the
expiration of their 2004 lease (and that all subsequent court
cases between the team and Pontiac are settled), believe the
Silverdome should be razed and an executive/industrial park be
constructed in its place (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 6/12).
