REINSDORF SAYS NO WHITE SOX STAKE FOR JORDAN

Bulls/White Sox Chair Jerry Reinsdorf said he has no plans
to offer Michael Jordan part-ownership of the White Sox as part
of his next contract, according to Armour & Isaacson of the
CHICAGO TRIBUNE. Jordan "can't be a part-owner of the Bulls
while he is playing in the NBA." While Jordan could own stock in
the White Sox, Reinsdorf said that won't happen "because you
don't have the same ownership of the two teams. How can he get a
piece of the White Sox when I have partners in the White Sox who
have no interest in the Bulls?" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 6/11). Jordan
said yesterday he would like to play two more years before
retiring (Dan Buckley, CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 6/11).
