     News Corp.'s Rupert Murdoch and Disney's Michael Eisner made
TIME's list of the ten "Most Powerful" people in the U.S.,
Murdoch at 4 and Eisner at 5 (WASHINGTON TIMES, 6/10). ....In a
profile of NBC's plans for MSNBC and beyond, NBC President Robert
Wright said, while they will continue to look at new cable and
satellite services, they have no plans to challenge ESPN.
Wright:  "I don't know that anyone can catch up with them" (Tim
Jones, CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 6/9)..... Time Warner's Pathfinder Web
site will debut a new design, with each component (including SI)
soon available through its own URL (N.Y. POST, 6/9)....Handlers
of Roy Jones Jr. are considering a bout with Thomas Hearns, or
having Jones fight two opponents on the same night.  HBO would
release Jones for the event (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/9)....Advantage
Int'l reports the Grant Hill Home Page is receiving 9,000 hits
per day (Advantage)....The French Open Women's Final between
Steffi Graf and Aranxta Sanchez Vicario reached about 50% of the
French TV audience (WASHINGTON TIMES, 6/9).
