     Larry Holmes will fight for the last time on The CBS Sports
Show on June 16 (CBS Sports).  Holmes, who claims to be making
less than $250,000 off the fight -- much less than he was making
from "Tuesday Night Fights" on USA Network:  "CBS has more
stations and more people will get the chance to see me."
Promoter Murad Muhammad:  "Larry Holmes wanted to give something
back to the fans.  We wanted to go on TV and do better than the
ratings they had prior to Larry Holmes" (Mike Bruton, PHILA.
INQUIRER, 5/21)....ESPN will distribute CART's U.S. 500 on May 26
to 198 countries from Albania to Zimbabwe.  ESPN VP/International
Sales Mike Reilly:  "This reinforces the tremendous appeal that
IndyCar enjoys" (ESPN)....SportsFan Radio Network has announced a
joint promo for Fox's MLB coverage.  Starting in synch with Fox's
coverage, SportsFan will offer listeners a chance to win prizes
through trivia challenges.  Grand Prize is a trip to Miami to
meet SportsFan host Pete Rose (SportsFan)....CBS Radio Sports
revealed its announcing teams for NFL coverage this coming
season.  As previously announced, Howard David and Matt Millen
will call Monday night games.  Longtime Cowboys voice Brad Sham
will be joined by Pat Haden, John Dockery and John Rooney on
Sunday night games.  Hank Stram and Jim Hunter host "NFL Preview"
(CBS Radio).
