WOODS DISMISSES REPORTS HE IS READY TO TURN PRO

TIGER WOODS said reports originated by BRENT MUSBURGER that
have him turning pro and leaving Stanford are "not true." Woods:
"Consider the source. I guess Brent Musburger knows everything."
Woods has entered two PGA Tour events this summer, but strictly
as an amateur. Woods also claims not to have thought of the money
he'd make once he did turn pro. Woods: "I don't understand those
numbers yet. People are talking about $15 million or $16 million
(in endorsements and other fees per year). I can't grasp all of
that" (Mark Purdy, SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 5/17).
