ONE RED HOT OLYMPIC SUMMER FOR COCA-COLA

     Coca-Cola announced that starting Monday, consumers will be
able to win prizes in the "Coca-Cola Red Hot Summer" promotion
from bottle caps and can packages.  Prizes include:  100 Coca-
Cola Classic vending machines autographed by Olympians; 10 "Red
Hot" Chevrolet Camaros; more than 1.5 million pieces of Olympic
merchandise from Starer and Champion; more than 200 million
discounts on official licensed Games apparel and accessories at
Foot Locker; and millions of free 20-oz. bottles of Coca-Cola
Classic.  The Coca-Cola Red Hot Olympic Summer begins May 20 and
concludes with the end of the Games, or while supplies last.  A
total of $1.6B in available prizes and discounts will be offered
during the 11-week promotion.  Additionally, all can multi-packs
include coupons from Olympic sponsors Mattel, Sports Illustrated,
Motorola and Avon.  In selected areas of the south, fans can win
with every Red Hot Olympic cap or package, due to additional
discounts of $3 off the full-price to the Coca-Cola Olympic City
in Atlanta (Coca-Cola).
"ET" promoed the start of the campaign with an autograph relay-
race with five Olympic gold medalists, including track star
Michael Johnson ("Entertainment Tonight," 5/15).
