ASCENT: HERE'S TO YOU, MS. ROBINSON

     Ascent Entertainment Group, owner of the Nuggets and
Avalanche, announced that it has created a new division, Ascent
Sports Group, to oversee the two teams.  Ascent also announced
that Ellen Robinson, former GM of Pepsi-Cola of Denver, will
become the new entity's president and will manage the business
operations of the Nuggets and Avalanche.  Contrary to published
reports, Denver Arena Co. VP & GM Tim Romani, will continue to
oversee the completion of the $150M Pepsi Center and manage the
arena once it is built (Ascent).  Robinson joins Washington
Sports' Susan O'Malley as the only other woman to run pro sports
teams (THE DAILY).
