STADIUM NOTES

     Broward County, FL commissioners have hired prominent Ft.
Lauderdale law firm Tripp, Scott, Conklin & Smith to handle legal
and environmental issues surrounding construction of the
Panthers' $212M, Sunrise arena (MIAMI HERALD, 5/15)....Despite
bad publicity over health-code violations, King County, WA,
leaders are considering keeping Ogden Entertainment Services
temporarily in control of the Kingdome's 97 concession stands
because of uncertainty over the stadium's future (SEATTLE POST
INTELLIGENCER, 5/15).... Forest Hill Stadium, once home to
tennis' U.S. Open, has signed a promotional agreement with
Stadium Entertainment to return events to "the long-dormant
stadium."  It will host concerts and a women's tennis exhibition
scheduled for July (N.Y. TIMES, 5/15)....Workers are putting
final touches on suites and the main concourse of Carolinas
Stadium.  The Panthers hope to move in the first week of July,
but a Grand Opening has not been set (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 5/15).
