     Dodgers play-by-play announcer VIN SCULLY will receive the
Sports Lifetime Achievement Award at the 17th Annual Sports Emmy
Awards April 22.  Previous recipients include:  HOWARD COSELL,
JIM MCKAY, CURT GOWDY and PAT SUMMERALL (THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER,
4/17)....MICHAEL JORDAN will appear in national TV and radio ads,
billboards, transit advertising, direct mail and other collateral
materials on behalf of the Coalition on Donation (Coalition on
Donation)....In wake of the death of ROD CAREW's daughter,
MICHELLE, ABC's "World News Tonight" reported on his campaign to
find blood donors for all leukemia patients.  As a result of his
efforts, more than 70,000 new people have signed up for the
National Bone Marrow Donor Program (ABC, 4/17)....PETER GRAF,
father of tennis star STEFFI GRAF, was charged with tax evasion
and failing to report as much as $28M of his daughter's income
(USA TODAY, 4/18)....According to their prenup, TONYA HARDING
gets to keep the couple's pickup truck while her ex-husband is
left with the tool chest (PHILA. INQUIRER, 4/18). ....The suspect
arrested in the home of Heat center ALONZO MOURNING has been
identified as EARL LEE NOLTON JR., a convicted crack dealer.
Nolton's ties to Mourning have not been disclosed (WASHINGTON
TIMES, 4/18)....The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra got a financial
boost from Hornets Owner GEORGE SHINN who donated $100,000 to
help meet budget outlays (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 4/17).
