UEBERROTH PREDICTS SUCCESS FOR THE ATLANTA GAMES

L.A. '84 Olympic Committee President Peter Ueberroth says
the $500M in new stadiums and university dormitories in Atlanta
is a far greater legacy than the $100M the L.A. Games left to
fund future amateur athletic programs in L.A., according to the
ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. Speaking out on the '96 Olympics for the
first time, Ueberroth says the L.A. and Atlanta Games bear many
similarities, even though Atlanta's are twice the size with
triple the budget. He said a "pride factor" will propel the
Games to be successful in spite of last minute hurdles faced by
ACOG and the city of Atlanta (Melissa Turner, ATLANTA
CONSTITUTION, 4/18).
