COTTON BOWL SELECTS ISL TO SECURE TITLE SPONSOR

     The Cotton Bowl Athletic Association has named Stamford, CT-
based ISL United States as exclusive worldwide marketing agent
for The Cotton Bowl Classic football game.  ISL's primary
responsibility will be to structure the title sponsorship package
-- including media benefits -- and to secure a title sponsor for
the '97 game (Cotton Bowl Athletic Association). Darren Marshall,
ISL USA VP for Business Development, said ISL was trying to
secure one title sponsor and not a combination of title and
presenting sponsors (Steve Richardson, DALLAS MORNING NEWS,
4/12). Roger Marment, ISL USA GM & Senior VP, told THE DAILY they
have had sponsorship talks with a number of Dallas-based
corporations, as well as international corporations based in the
U.S.  He noted Mobil, the game's last title sponsor, is not under
consideration.  Marment called this "stage 1" of ISL's major push
into college sports (THE DAILY).
