NFL LOOKS TO BRING MEDIA PLANNING AND BUYING IN-HOUSE

The NFL is bringing "the bulk" of its media planning and
buying functions in-house, according to INSIDE MEDIA. New York-
based Sader & Associates previously handled most of the league's
planning and buying, but Rick Slovitt, NFL Properties Senior Dir
of Strategic Planning and Research, and Caryn Ross, NFLP
Communications Manager, will now oversee those duties. The
change comes as the NFL is looking to centralize its marketing
functions, with media planning and buying included. This year,
Slovitt estimates the NFL will spend at least $10M on media and
promotions (Langdon Brockinton, INSIDE MEDIA ONLINE, 4/9).
