CARTER REPORTEDLY SET ON MAVS SALE; ADD STAUBACH TO THE LIST

Carter, said his father "has all but decided" to sell the team.
Originally, Donald Carter said he was willing to entertain offers
for his franchise.  But now Ron Carter said his father is
reviewing offers and that three prospective ownership groups have
already begun examining the team's financial standing.  The
Carters have received some interest from people wanting to move
the team, but Ron Carter said, "We're not interested in anything
like that."  Bidders include Ross Perot, Jr., former Cowboys QB
Roger Staubach, Stars Owner Thomas Hicks, and media magnate
Edward Gaylord (Richie Witt, FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 4/10).
