MEDIA NOTES

     The MLS DC United has agreed with Home Team Sports to air an
additional 19 games.  The team will be shown 13 times on ESPN,
ESPN2 and Univision (DC United)....ESPN and ESPN2 will air 41
Roller Hockey Int'l games in '96 (RHI)....ABC's "Monday Night
Football" will be transformed into a new interactive game for
PC's and the Sony PlayStation.  The game will be introduced in
May and followed by "ABC Sports College Football," due this fall
(ABC)....NBA "Inside Stuff" hosts Ahmad Rashad and Willow Bay
celebrate their 200th episode this weekend (NBA
Entertainment)....MLB SPORTS MEDIABAT, MLB's official web site, -
 will feature a live chat with Mets pitcher Jason Isringhausen on
April 2.  The site will be relaunched in conjunction with News
Corp.'s iGuide (MLB).... Instant Baseball debuts on the Web March
31, featuring score updates on every MLB game in progress.  The
site will feature sound effects, scrolling scores and archive

from an 1,800-subscriber service in '63 to $3.4B in revenue last

Communications President Don Mitzner said yesterday that CBS
would not create an all-news operation (N.Y. POST, 3/37)....CBS
Sports spokesperson Robin Brendle said Michelle Tafoya's refusal
to give up her play-by-play seat upon Sean McDonough's return
after an illness during Saturday's game was via instruction from
producers (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 3/27)....Fox has officially
hired Tim McCarver as a baseball analyst (USA TODAY,
3/27)....CBS' Pat O'Brien will host a syndicated special April 26
dubbed "Nothing But Net," about sports on the Internet.  O'Brien
hopes to make the concept a series next fall (USA TODAY, 3/27).
