NFL REPS MEET WITH KING COUNTY OFFICIALS ON STADIUM

     King County officials meet with NFL officials today
regarding the status of the Kingdome and a new stadium for the
Seahawks.  County officials plan to stress the Kingdome can be
upgraded "to provide an acceptable venue" (SEATTLE POST-
INTELLIGENCER, 3/25).  In Tacoma, John Clayton notes the "huge
price" Seahawks Owner Ken Behring is paying to move his team back
after sparing "no expense" to set up in Anaheim.  Team President
David Behring will meet with the NFL's Roger Goodwell and
Panthers Owner Jerry Richardson, who are expected "to strongly
suggest" the Behrings sell season tickets in Seattle (Tacoma NEWS
TRIBUNE, 3/24).
