SPECULATION HAS COMCAST AND PHILLIES JOINING ON STADIUM

Phillies President Bill Giles confirmed he has met with
Flyers President Ed Snider and Philadelphia developer Ronald
Rubin on building a new stadium, according to the PHILADELPHIA
INQUIRER. Giles hopes to meet with Comcast officials to "seek
their involvement in the stadium project." Comcast last week
bought the Flyers, 76ers and two arenas. Giles said Comcast
could get involved through a loan or by buying naming rights
(Timothy Dwyers, PHILA. INQUIRER, 3/23). Michael Sokolove
writes on possible synergies between the Phillies and Comcast.
The Phillies have a great deal of programming content to offer
Comcast, with their TV package "a far more valuable property"
than the Flyers or 76ers (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 3/24).
