TONYA HARDING SAYS SHE WANTS TO COME BACK TO SKATING
TONYA HARDING has said she wants to return to skating. Her short-term goal is to skate in the '98 Olympics, but her "ultimate goal" is to "cash in" on the lucrative marketing opportunities that eluded her after the '94 Games, according to USA TODAY. Bruce Horovitz writes Harding confirmed her intentions to formally request reinstatement with the USFSA in a recent interview. USFSA President MORRY STILLWELL: "We'll deal with that if and when it comes up." Harding's new agent, DAVID HANS SCHMIDT, said a press conference is planned for early April, adding, "We are considering all offers, amateur and professional" (USA TODAY, 3/20).
