THE PACK IS JACKING TICKET PRICES TO HOLD UP THEIR END

The Packers are raising ticket prices $4-7 depending on seat
location, as the team feels "a need to contribute a greater
share" to the NFL's revenue pool, according to the MILWAUKEE
JOURNAL SENTINEL. The increase marks the first change for the
team since '92. Packers President Bob Harlan cited the club's
'95 average of $28.17 as second-lowest in the NFL, and said the
team was "particularly sensitive" about holding up their end of
the bargain in revenue sharing because they depend so heavily on
it. Harlan anticipated '96 prices would rank 20th-23rd in the
league. The team's visiting share will rise from $516,841 to
$603,691. Harlan said the average visiting share in '95 was
$705,000 (Tom Silverstein, MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 2/28).
