     Irish golfer David Feherty has been approached by USA and
CBS to work as a commentator on their golf telecasts (GOLFWORLD,
2/23 issue)...The Family Circle Cup tennis tournament has

FamilyCircleCup (Family Circle Cup).... SportsTicker has joined
with Time Inc. New Media to provide sports news and information
for Time's emerging businesses, including Pathfinder, Time
Warner's World Wide Web site (SportsTicker)....Broadcaster
Charlie Jones will not return to cover Rockies games.  He will be
replaced by Dave Armstrong, who has handled play-by-play for the
Royals over the last three years and will work with Dave
Campbell.   Jones will do 40 TV games for the Padres this season
(Ralph Colorado Springs GAZETTE TELEGRAPH, 2/25)....After
Saturday's fights on Fox, Don King said, "It may be my last show
on Fox. ... Everybody who works for Rupert Murdoch don't want Don
King there."  Fox's Vince Wladika:  "If that's how Don feels, so
be it" (USA TODAY, 2/26)....Network revenues for ABC, CBS, and
NBC climbed a "healthy" 7.8% in the fourth quarter to $2.32B from
$2.15B a year earlier.  The figures showed gains in "several
programming areas, including prime time, late night and morning"
(WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/26)....Beasley Broadcasting Group bought
Miami radio stations WQAM and WKIS from Sunshine Wireless Co.
last week for $57M.  They plan no personnel or format changes at
all-sports WQAM.  Beasley President Simon T (no typo) said WQAM
will try to keep the Marlins and Panthers, whose deals expire
this year, and may pursue the Dolphins when their deal with WIOD
ends after '96 (MIAMI HERALD, 2/23)....Walt Disney will sell $2B
in five- and ten-year global bonds in March to help finance the
recent purchase of Cap Cities/ABC.  Disney said it would borrow
about $8B to fund the cash portion of the $19B sale.  Merrill
Lynch and CS First Boston Corp. will lead investment banks that
will underwrite the sale (BLOOMBERG BUSINESS NEWS/SAN JOSE
MERCURY NEWS, 2/26).
