     Nike Canada has been ordered to pay just over C$2M to a
former worker who got drunk on the job and was left a
quadriplegic from a car crash upon driving home (Toronto GLOBE &
MAIL, 2/24)....Foote, Cone & Belding has been hired by Mattel to
introduce the Mighty Ducks action figures based on the Disney
cartoon characters (N.Y. TIMES, 2/26)....Der Spiegel reports
Steffi Graf will hire Ion Tiriac to be her agent (USA TODAY,
2/26)....Brands getting most prime time TV ad exposure for the
week of February 5-11:  McDonald's, Wendy's, Ford F150, Tylenol
pain reliever, Saturn, Domino's pizza, "Broken Arrow,"
"Unforgettable," Orudis KT pain reliever, and AT&T telephone
services (USA TODAY, 2/26).... Boston Market is reviewing its
estimated $40M ad account, with plans to hire several agencies
(AD AGE ONLINE, 2/26)....Bucks guard Lee Mayberry has fired his
old agent and hired David Falk.  He is a free agent at the end of
the year (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 2/24)....Univ. of Illinois
AD Ron Guenther is profiled in the CHICAGO TRIBUNE.  Among his
accomplishments include a $500,000, five-year sponsorship deal
with Pepsi and a contract with Nike worth more than $3.5M over
seven years (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 2/26).... Exxon and IMSA announced
that Exxon will continue its series sponsorship with a new five-
year commitment to the Exxon World Sports Car championship and
Exxon Supreme GT series (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS,
2/25)....Boston agent Ken Fishkin is said to have tried to sign
Mo Vaughn away from agents Mark Gillam and Tom Reich while Vaughn
was negotiating his multi-year deal with the Red Sox (Joan
Vennochi, BOSTON GLOBE, 2/23)....ESPN's Al Bernstein notes a
promotion for the June 7 bout between Julio Cesar Chavez and
Oscar de la Hoya:  Caesars Palace has provided a 12-seat jet for
each boxer -- One with a huge photo of Chavez on its body, the
other with a photo of de la Hoya ("SportsCenter," 2/23)....
Apparel maker Mossimo was up 7 to $25 Friday on its first day of
trading ("Nightly Business Report," 2/23).
