MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

     L.A. Gear reported Friday that its losses "have widened
sharply despite staff cutbacks."  The company lost $36.6M or
$1.58 a share during its fourth quarter.  L.A. Gear stock
finished down 1/4 to 2 1/8 (N.Y. POST, 2/10)....The Brewers
announced that Bob Uecker will be the focal point of much of the
team's radio and TV marketing campaign.  He has been doing ads
for the IHL Milwaukee Admirals for several seasons (MILWAUKEE
JOURNAL SENTINEL, 2/10)...In Atlanta, Chris Roush writes on Coca-
Cola's worldwide strategy -- one that "means pushing the brand
globally by using sports" as Coca-Cola Classic will "dominate"
their Olympic marketing strategy (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION,
2/11)....Eastman Kodak launches its first '96 Olympic theme
commercial today in a spot that features former Olympians
Muhammand Ali, Florence Griffith Joyner and Nadia Comaneci (USA
TODAY, 2/11).
