OHIO CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION KEEPS UP THE LEGISLATIVE HEAT

OH Sen. Michael DeWine "has introduced legislation to make
it less attractive for teams to move," according to CNBC's Sue
Herera. DeWine opposes using federal tax money to lure new teams
and said he would push to take away the right to sell tax-exempt
bonds to pay for new stadiums in certain situations. DeWine:
"We're not saying they can't move. We're not saying a team can't
move. What we're simply saying is federal tax dollars should not
be used to sweeten the pot to make that deal" ("Sports View,"
1/24).
