1995 NCAA FOOTBALL ATTENDANCE SECOND BEST EVER
Total attendance figures for the '95 NCAA football season were the second best in history. The grand total for all 565 NCAA teams was 35,637,784, a drop of 822,112 from last year's record setting total of 36,459,896. Div I-A programs accounted for 72% of the '95 totals. Bad weather on several weekends was cited for the dropoff, especially in divisions below I-A, according to the NCAA. Individually, Michigan won its 22nd consecutive attendance title with an average of 103,767 per game (Richard Campbell, NCAA NEWS, 1/8 issue).
