IOC WORKING ON GLOBAL SPONSORSHIPS FOR '98, 2000 GAMES

     The IOC is "closing deals" with all 10 global sponsors of
the '96 Games to return as sponsors for the '98 Winter and 2000
Summer Games, according to Jeff Jensen in AD AGE. In addition to
the 10 global sponsors -- Bausch & Lomb, Coca-Cola, Eastman
Kodak, IBM, John Hancock, Matsushita's Panasonic, Time Warner's
Sports Illustrated, UPS, Visa and Xerox -- the IOC has offers
from four other companies, including McDonald's and Motorola, to
join the "Olympic Program IV" which will cover '98 and 2000 (AD
AGE, 1/15).
