NBC REPORTS 85% BUY FOR SUPER BOWL AS THEY LAUNCH WEB SITE

     In a conference call to announce the partnership between the
NFL and NBC on a Super Bowl Web site sponsored by Microsoft, NBC
Sports Senior VP Jonathan Miller said the network has sold more
than 85% of advertising time available for its broadcast of Super
Bowl XXX.  Miller:  "I would say we're between 85 to 90% sold
right now.  We're pretty pleased with the position we're in"
(REUTERS/DAILY VARIETY, 12/19).  The Super Bowl Web site will be
launched later this month at http://superbowl.com.  Combined
sales for an NBC special -- "Behind the Scenes: Super Bowl XXX" -
- and the Web site are being handled by NBC Sports in association
with Interactive Media Sales, a Hermosa Beach, CA, unit of
Interactive Marketing.  As reported yesterday, advertisers
wishing to buy online space can purchase spots at up to $100,000,
with another flexible rate depending on how many people visit
various pages on the site (THE DAILY).
