FILA'S MOVIN' ON UP TO THAT DELUXE HEADQUARTERS IN THE SKY

Fila USA will move its headquarters -- while staying in the
Baltimore suburbs -- doubling its space to 90,000 square feet at
a new site in Sparks, MD. The Baltimore SUN notes the move comes
as the sneaker and apparel firm has increased its U.S. sales by
more than 800% since '91. Sales are projected at $500M in '95
(Baltimore SUN, 12/13).
IN AND AROUND CHARM CITY: A group led by Michael Jordan has
purchased a Nissan dealership in Glen Burnie, MD, that will
capitalize on its new owner's name and claim to fame. Jordan and
Co. will oversee $1.5M in renovations that include bleachers,
baskets, a scoreboard and video wall that will replay Jordan
highlights. Pat Pascarella, a partner in the venture, said after
the renovation, "we'll advertise very heavily as Michael Jordan's
Nissan of Glen Burnie." The dealership joins a similar operation
owned by Jordan and partners in Durham, NC. Jordan reportedly
wants to eventually purchase 5-7 dealerships (Baltimore SUN,
12/13).
