CLIPPERS DENY REPORT OF DISNEY INTEREST IN TEAM

Clippers Exec VP Andy Roeser told THE SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY
that an L.A. BUSINESS JOURNAL story that Disney was seeking to
buy all or part of the team is false. Roeser: "We haven't been
for sale. We aren't going to be for sale. ... There's nothing to
it." Roeser said the Clippers are presently evaluating
alternatives for a new arena in L.A. The Clippers will continue
to play games in Anaheim as long as they are at the L.A. Sports
Arena, but Roeser said they are not planning a move to Orange
County (THE DAILY). Tim Deady of the L.A. BUSINESS JOURNAL
reported that Disney, "according to several sources," would move
the team to Orange County where they would play at the Arrowhead
Pond. Deady cited sources saying that Disney wants "at least" a
25% share in the club. Deady reports the Clippers are in the
first of a three-year deal to play at the L.A. Sports Arena (L.A.
BUSINESS JOURNAL, 11/27-12/3 issue). Roeser did tell THE DAILY
that the team has an option at the end of each year to exit its
lease at the Sports Arena (THE DAILY).
