KINGS, DONALDS AND TYSONS IN THE NEWS

MIKE TYSON will fight BUSTER MATHIS JR. at the CoreStates
Spectrum in Philadelphia on December 16. The fight, originally
scheduled for November 4 in Las Vegas, was postponed due to
Tyson's broken thumb. The fight was since rumored to be headed
for Atlantic City, but the NJ State Athletic Control Board would
not allow it because of the current indictments against Tyson
promoter DON KING. The Commission also disallowed DONALD TRUMP
to stage the fight with King "more or less on the sideline"
(Bernard Fernandez, PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 11/30). Fox Sports
said reports the network will carry the fight on free TV are
"premature." But a source told CNN that "Fox will almost
certainly carry the fight" ("Sports Tonight," CNN, 11/29).
