BUD ICE AND THE NHL -- THE COOLEST BUDDIES ON EARTH

The NHL's "Coolest Game on Earth" tagline that the league is
using in two 30-second TV spots, in-arena signage and All-Star
balloting promotions, came from a Bud Ice spot. BRANDWEEK
reports the spot, produced by the Schupp Group, St. Louis,
originally aired on a single Bud Ice campaign last March. Agency
Principal Mark Schupp: "I guess it's no accident that the core
audience for NHL and Bud Ice match almost exactly" (BRANDWEEK,
11/20 issue).
