DEADLINE FOR BUCS TICKETS COMES AND GOES, NOW WHAT?

The marketing blitz for Tampa Bay's Charter Seat Deposit
Program ended Friday. However, sales will continue
indefinitely. The total number of deposits as of last Friday,
with a final tally expected sometime this week, will be used by
Bucs Owner Malcolm Glazer as a base to figure his contribution
toward a new $168M stadium. The most recent count by the local
Stadium Task Force was 31,803, with officials expecting the final
to be around 35,000. The Glazer family has said the drive needed
50,000 to keep the team in Tampa Bay. Chuck Davis, Chair of the
Task Force, called the response "exceptional," noting about 5,000
of the 15,000 club seats are sold and sales of suites have been
"successful" (Charean Williams, ORLANDO SENTINEL, 11/18).
Perhaps as soon as today, the Bucs are expected to announce their
long-awaited stadium proposal (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 11/20).
