     NANCY KERRIGAN gave a "bitingly honest interview" to CBS
Sports after the Rider's Triple Crown event earlier this month.
In the interview, part of which will be aired during a December 3
telecast, Kerrigan says, "I like doing shows.  Competing is
boring.  This isn't competition anyway.  You get paid the same
(appearance fee) no matter what.  There is no reason to train.
The only reason to do well is for the crowd" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE,
11/17)....Former Falcon and current Fox NFL analyst TIM GREEN has
published his second novel, a thriller called "Titans" (St.
Martin Press)....N.Y. POST columnist Larry Brooks profiles Devils
Owner JOHN MCMULLEN: "In an era where ART MODELL becomes simply
the latest pro sports team owner to come up lousy, McMullen
emerges as a hero ... a hometown hero, which is simply the very
best kind there is" (N.Y. POST, 11/17)....Although the MA Senate
failed to approve authorization of the name of a new, $9.6B
harbor tunnel as the TED WILLIAMS Tunnel, officials will go ahead
with December 15 ceremonies to open the tunnel in the Hall-of-
Famer's honor (BOSTON HERALD, 11/17).
