RAPTORS NAME PCL CONSTRUCTORS TO OVERSEE CONSTRUCTION

     PCL Constructors Eastern Inc. has been selected to oversee
the building of the $180M Air Canada Centre, future home of the
Raptors.  The company, "which does extensive work in the United
States," is also building the Palladium in Ottawa.  Jay Cross,
Raptors Stadium Project Director, is optimistic construction will
begin before the end of the year in order to open in Fall '97.
The Raptors still need to clear "two hurdles" in the Ontario
Municipal Board and Toronto City Council (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL,
11/14).
