10/25)....In last night's World Series report for David
Letterman, SPARKY MORTIMER had dinner with Braves Owner TED
TURNER and relayed Dave's request that Turner buy CBS.  Turner
said he has tried "several times" but has been "unsuccessful"
("Late Show," CBS, 10/25)....The Corel WTA Tour will move its
awards ceremony to Madison Square Garden, in honor of its 25th
anniversary.  The November 13 ceremony will be hosted by CHRIS
