     Elizabeth Reyna Barrack has filed a civil suit in San Diego
Superior Court claiming she was "assaulted, kicked, battered,
struck, hit, punched, slapped, scratched and pummeled" by LATONIA
COX, ANGEL PARMALEE, JACQUELINE FRYAR, MELANIE JACKSON and SHONDA
INGRAM -- wives of Dolphin players -- following the Chargers
playoff win against the Dolphins last year (MIAMI HERALD,
9/27)....For every touchdown ANDRE RISON scores this season, he
will donate $1,000 to the Northeastern Ohio Coalition for the
Homeless (Browns)....Notre Dame Coach LOU HOLTZ said he was fined
$500 by his doctor for driving when instructed not to after
surgery.  The money went to the players' charity, The Ara
Parseghian Medical Research Foundation ("SportsCenter," ESPN,
9/27)....N.Y. Giant MICHAEL STRAHAN was recognized by Playoff
Corp, in conjunction with the NFLPA, with their "Unsung Hero"
Award (Playoff)....SHAQUILLE O'NEAL was a guest on the "Late
Show" to promote his "bout" with HAKEEM OLAJUWON this Saturday
(CBS, 9/27).  The two also plugged the PPV event on ABC's "Good
Morning America."  Asked how the challenge came about, O'Neal
said, "Right after the Taco Bell commercials he started talking
trash."  Shaq, on what his character does in the movie "Kazaam":
"I can't tell you" (ABC, 9/28)....MIKE PANTAZIS, the fan who
jumped out of the stands at Soldier Field to catch a football on
national TV, has asked for a tryout with the Arena Football
League's Milwaukee Mustangs (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 9/28).
