     Oilers Exec VP Mike McClure said Friday the team has reached
a "basic understanding" with Nashville officials on what type a
deal will be required to move the club in '98.  McClure said the
Oilers were "Nashville's to lose."  Such a deal is expected to
include a football-only stadium with shares of advertising and
other revenues going to the team (DETROIT NEWS, 9/17)....The
Raiders have 10,000 tickets remaining for next Sunday's game with
the Eagles in Oakland, as sales of PSLs since the first game have
only jumped by around 1,000 (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 9/16)....A
crush of phone calls from those trying to obtain Indians playoff
tickets caused slow phone service in Cleveland on Saturday.
10,000 available tickets sold out in two hours (WASHINGTON POST,
9/17)....The Shreveport Pirates, averaging a CFL-low 13,841 a
game, may be thinking about moving, according to the Baltimore
SUN.  Club President Lonie Glieberman said the team expects to
lose $2.5M this season after a $3.5M loss last year (Baltimore
SUN, 9/17)....Richard Burke will be in Winnipeg today, reportedly
to nail down final details of a deal for the Jets (Minneapolis
STAR TRIBUNE, 9/16).
