PRIVATE FINANCING SECURED FOR DISTRICT'S MCI CENTER

     Bullets/Caps Owner Abe Pollin yesterday released a statement
saying the private financing for DC's new downtown arena, MCI
Center, has been secured.  The release notes financial papers
have been delivered to DC's Redevelopment Land Agency, including
a "firm" commitment letter from NationsBank, a letter to DC Mayor
Marion Barry from NationsBank on the funding, a letter to Barry
from MCI outlining its financial commitment, and a memo
describing sources and use of funds.  Groundbreaking on
construction of MCI Center is scheduled for October 18 (MCI
Center).
