EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     The NBA has named JONATHAN BROD to the newly created
position of Manager, Consumer Products for NBA Canada Inc.  Brod
will oversee the sales, licensing, advertising and promotion of
NBA consumer products in Canada as well as serve as the consumer
products liaison between NBA Properties and the new Canadian
franchises (NBA)....Former Nuggets President TIM LEIWEKE has had
discussions with U.S. Skiing about the group's vacant Exec Dir
post (DENVER POST, 8/29)....The IHL has named MARK DIMOND as Dir
of Marketing Services (SportsTicker)....MARIANNE WERDEL-WITMEYER
has been elected President of the WTA Tour Players Association,
succeeding MARTINA NAVRATILOVA (S.F. CHRONICLE, 8/29)
