BELL SOUTH HOPES FINGERS DO THE WALKING ON OLYMPIC ADS

BellSouth, an Olympic sponsor, hopes to raise close to $2M
by selling $60,000 ads to other Olympic sponsors in a special 32-
page insert in its '96 Atlanta Yellow Pages, according to Henry
Unger of the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. The insert, with the cover
going for as much as $96,500, will "have a special thumb tab to
make it stand out" and contain a "variety of information on the
Games, including event dates, venues and maps." If all ad space
isn;t bought by sponsors, BellSouth will approach the 100 Olympic
licensees -- and, if space is still available, they will seek out
other companies, "as long as they don't compete with Olympic
sponsors" (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 8/16).
