SANDERS, who was traded to the Giants, has not reported and is
reportedly considering retiring from baseball to focus
exclusively on football.  ESPN's Jack Edwards: "Deion knows
leverage" ("SportsCenter," 7/23).  Sanders:  "If anyone knows
business in this world, it's me.  I know business"
("SportsCenter," ESPN, 7/22)....JOHN MCENROE reportedly verbally
and physically accosted a 61-year-old female neighbor in a
argument over the use of the elevators in their NYC co-op.  The
fracas made the front page of Saturday's N.Y. DAILY NEWS (N.Y.
DAILY NEWS, 7/22). ....WILLIAM FAGAN has joined Group W Sports
Marketing as Dir of Sales in the Midwest Region. He will be based
in Chicago (Group W)...SUZYN WALDMAN makes history tonight as the
first woman to announce a MLB game on network TV (Mult., 7/24).
