IT'LL BE RAINING DOGS, CATS AND SPONSORS ON "NFL ON TNT"

     TNT has announced that they will join with Avis Rent-a-Car,
Courtyard by Marriot Suites, Castrol Motor Oil, and Ralston
Purina for "NFL on TNT" promos.  TNT, Avis, and Courtyard will
join in support of the "Two Minutes to Win Sweepstakes," with a
grand prize to the Super Bowl.  TNT and Castrol will promote the
"NFL on TNT" and Castrol's "NFL Team Football" retail offer.
Castrol will give away "NFL on TNT" schedules at point-of-
purchase displays at 25,000 retail outlets.  Consumers also
receive a free NFL Team football with the purchase of certain
Castrol products.  But the main event could be TNT's promo with
Ralston Purina which will feature Scooby Doo, Droopy & Friends
going "head-to-head" with Snagglepuss, Tom (minus Jerry), Top Cat
and friends in the "Purina Bowl," a cat and dog football game
played out in a 60-second promotional spot to run during TNT's
last game of the season on October 29.  Ralston Purina will promo
the event through NFL themed free-standing newspaper inserts and
in-store activity (TNT).
