THE COST OF YELLING AT REGGIE MILLER JUST WENT UP

The prices of Madison Square Garden's exclusive courtside
seats for Knicks games have been doubled to $1,000 per game,
according to the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. Joanna Molloy reports the
seats carry the "highest known price for a sporting event in the
country." The Garden is also considering charging as much as
$20,000 for membership in its VIP lounge, "Suite 200." MSG
spokesperson John Cirillo said MSG President Dave Checketts
recommended the hike to the ITT/Cablevision board. Cirillo, who
noted that MSG "appreciates the support" of the big-ticket
buyers: "It's a high-rent district, it's like a million dollar
house." Spike Lee: "That's like, 'You made a great commitment.
WHAM, give us a thousand dollars. ... I'd better make a hit movie
now so I can afford this" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 7/19).
