CALGARY, SADDLE ON UP TO THE CANADIAN AIRLINES SADDLEDOME!

     Canadian Airlines has tentatively agreed to pay C$20M for a
20-year deal to rename the Olympic Saddledome in Calgary as the
Canadian Airlines Saddledome.  The deal, which still must be
approved by Calgary's City Council, "is expected to get a rocky
ride" from the Council when it votes on Monday, according to this
morning's CALGARY HERALD.  Nine of the city's 15 council members
did not attend a meeting yesterday with the Flames to discuss the
deal, "some because they were upset with the hockey team's
offer."  The team, which operates the Saddledome, will reportedly
contribute C$75,000 annually to amateur sports in Calgary in
exchange for the name change.  If the motion is not approved
Monday, it can be revived, but not until the next council meeting
in September.  Canadian Senior VP/Marketing and Sales Terry
Francis says surveys show that most Calgarians currently refer to
the building as the Saddledome -- without "Olympic" (Helen Dolik,
