DEAL WITH THE DEVILS COULD COME THIS WEEK
Published July 10, 1995
A deal to keep the Devils in NJ could come "no later than mid-week," according to Larry Brooks of the N.Y. POST. Brooks reported Sunday that the team and NJSEA are in a "nuts and bolts" phase of negotiations and are "progressing toward a favorable conclusion," according to "knowledgeable sources" (N.Y. POST, 7/9). NJSEA General Council Joel Kobert told this morning's N.Y. TIMES: "We're very close, it could be announced before Tuesday." No formal talks are scheduled for today (N.Y. TIMES, 7/10).
