SPORTSOUTH AND SEC INK FOUR-YEAR DEAL

     SportSouth and the SEC have announced a four-year TV
agreement for over 60 conference events and shows, 30 different
coaches shows, and more than 250 hours of SEC programming per
year.  The deal includes:  "This Week in the SEC," a 35-week
program highlighting seasonal activity in all SEC sports; "Game
of the Week" packages for women's and men's basketball and
baseball; a women's volleyball package that includes the SEC
championship; the possibility of up to two SEC football games
beginning with the 1996 season; and three additional events to be
determined.  "This Week in the SEC" will be formatted as a one-
hour show that originates from each conference school at least
once each year.  The package will also be distributed to the
Sunshine Network and Prime Sports Southwest.  Financial terms of
the deal were not disclosed, but there is an option to renew for
an additional two years (SportSouth).
