MAYOR TO FEEL SOUTH BOSTON'S WRATH ON MEGAPLEX TONIGHT
Published June 27, 1995
Boston Mayor Tom Menino will appear tonight at a high school in South Boston -- home of the proposed Megaplex project -- where "hundreds of residents are expected ... to protest" (Adrian Walker, BOSTON GLOBE, 6/27). A GLOBE editorial criticizes local leaders for their lack of action on the project, while praising Patriots Owner Robert Kraft. Kraft's pledge to spend an additional $90M is called "welcome evidence that this successful businessman is convinced that the concept is sound" (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/27).
