AD SALES: ALL-STAR GAME SOLD OUT; WWF THE NEXT TARGET?

     ABC has announced that ad time for MLB's All-Star Game in
Arlington has sold out, for a reported $8M in ad revenue.
Advertisers for the game include Reebok, General Motors and
Anheuser-Busch.  Reebok has four ads planned, featuring the White
Sox's Frank Thomas (Dottie Enrico, USA TODAY, 6/26).
          COMPANIES GOING WITH WWF:  The appeal of pro wrestling
     to advertisers is examined by Melanie Wells in USA TODAY.
     Among first-time sponsors include MCI, Slim Jim, Burger King
     and the National Dairy Council.  Media Exec Lou Schultz,
     President of CE Communications in Detroit: "Advertisers who
     want cheap eyeballs have an opportunity to get them with
     wrestling."  WWF Owner Shane McMahon: "We're not wrestling
     anymore.  We're sports entertainment" (USA TODAY, 6/26).
