EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     SPORTING GOODS BUSINESS Managing Editor GREG PESKY is
leaving the publication to pursue an MBA at Dartmouth's Tuck
School.  Pesky will remain as a Contributing Editor.  ALYSSA
LUSTIGMAN has been advanced to Executive Editor of SGB, while
CHRISTOPHER MCEVOY will become Managing Editor.  SGB has also
added ANDREW BERNSTEIN and LEIGH GALLAGHER as Assistant Editors
(SGB, 6/95 issue)....TOM ASHLEY has been named Motor Sports
Account Manager for Gaylord Entertainment Company to oversee its
new marketing alliance with Nascar (NASCAR NEWS, 6/7
issue)....MICHAEL FASSETTE has been named Senior VP/Sales and
Marketing for Fila U.S.A.'s Footwear Division.  He was previously
Women's Footwear Merchandise Manager for Nike....Champion
Products has named LINDA MILLER VP/Marketing and Production, MATT
MIRCHIN VP/Olympics and Professional Licenced Products, BRIAN
LYNCH as Exec Dir of Collegiate and Athletic Products and SHAWN
DEAN as Dir of Athletics and Team Outfitting....Converse has
named STEVEN SUNDERLAND VP/Sports Marketing, ROGER MORNINGSTAR as
VP/Basketball Promotions, HENRY JACKSON as Product Vision
Dir/Advanced Concepts....L.A. Gear has appointed SUSAN RICHTER as
Dir of Marketing for their Women's Division.  Richter was most
recently President of Danskin's Dance France division....BILL
CARROLL has been named Dir of Sports For Infinity Radio
Sales....TOM HUGHES has been named to head Adidas new division in
charge of business operations and golf shoes (SPORTING GOODS
BUSINESS, 6/95 issue).... LINDA BRILL has been promoted to Dir of
Public Relations for DIRECTV, Los Angeles (BROADCASTING & CABLE,
6/19 issue).
