POLLIN'S DOWNTOWN ARENA SITE TO GET ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY
Published May 15, 1995
"Concerns over parking and the proposed closing of G Street" have led DC officials to order an in-depth environmental study of the proposed site for Bullats & Caps Owner Abe Pollin's new arena, according to the WASHINGTON TIMES. Pollin has reportedly agreed to the study. The statement is said to take four to six weeks to complete, and according to DC Corporation Counsel Claude Bailey, the study "shouldn't delay" the targeted October ground- breaking (Lorraine Woellert, WASHINGTON TIMES, 5/13).
