MLB ALL-STAR BALLOTING BEGINS MAY 19 WITH TEXACO'S SUPPORT

5.12.1995

     Balloting for the 66th All-Star Game in Arlington, TX, will
begin May 19 and continue through June 26.  President of Texaco
Refining and Marketing, Inc. Thomas Matthews said the company is
"proud to be the title sponsor" of balloting. Matthews: "In
addition to Texaco brand exposure, our affiliation with The
Baseball Network affords our company sales promotions and
advertising opportunities that complement our overall marketing
strategy for" Texaco products (MLB).  This is the second year
Texaco has sponsored MLB's All-Star balloting program.
